Now, in 2014, I am returning
to paper and I LOVE IT!
My projects are hybrid, with a healthy dose of digital work integrated with the paper, but paper is once again central to my crafting.
This stamped image tells the story. On the surface, it's an image of a relaxing space, with a black cat snoozing under a window filled with flowers, birds, greenery and sunshine. It's a lot like my house. If you look more deeply, however, the image is a combination of old friends like Bazzil cardstock, VersaFine Black Onyx ink and Fiskars small scissors together with new friends like Distress Markers, Color Shine Spray and Ranger Enamel Accents.
My former paper crafting space was filled with supplies galore; everything was visible, which was the good news and the bad news. I have found that as I get older I want a quieter space in which to rest my eyes. I would rather take another minute or two to pull out the supplies I want instead of having them all staring at me from the walls and drawers. So here is a "before" and "after" look at my crafting spaces.
